Nancy O'Dell's initial job in the broadcast industry was as a reporter/anchor at WPDE-TV Myrtle Beach South Carolina. She later became a morning news anchor and crime report at WCBD TV. While in Charleston O'Dell's stories on the lenient police approach towards DUI cases led to a State Law Enforcement Division investigation that resulted in states authorities again releasing the strictest guidelines regarding DUI situations. In the year 2000, The Associated Press honored Ms. O'Dell by awarding her the Best Report of the Years Award in all South Carolina Media. After her time in Charleston, O'Dell worked as a co-anchor for the NBC's Miami Station WTVJ-TV as well as an investigative journalist. She then became a part of Access Hollywood to work as a weekday and weekend correspondent. O'Dell is a leading anchor for Access Hollywood. In addition she is a contributor to NBC News Today and Dateline NBC. She's covered The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys The Golden Globe Awards and co-hosted several Pre-ShowArrivals Shows to The Emmys And The Golden Globes.
